Musical Theatre Program

Our Vision: A community where every child feels safe to express themselves, builds confidence and a sense of identity, and gains life skills through positive theatre experiences.

Our Musical Theatre Program is run during school term and gives students aged 8 - 17 years the opportunity to perform in a musical theatre production with only one afternoon a week commitment. Students will have FUN while they learn and develop acting, singing and dancing skills as well as gain confidence, make friends, and perform on-stage. No previous acting, singing or dancing experience is required. Our experienced theatre educators will ensure each student has a role they will thrive in.

This program is designed by our Artistic Director, BJ Anyos and our Musical Director, Dr Georgia Pike-Rowney. BJ and Georgia are joined by a team of experienced children’s theatre educators and mentors to help teach and direct the students. Many of our mentors have participated in the program themselves so are able to empathise with our students on any feelings they may experience and provide a positive environment where all students can thrive. From making new friends, to learning and developing their performance skill, to going on-stage for the very first time - our team are excited to show each and every participant what they can achieve!

All Child Players ACT’s theatre training programs are ‘audition free’. All students, regardless of their prior experience, can participate and develop their skills and perform a role that will allow them to achieve success and have a positive experience.

What Parents Say About Our Program:

“My child learned so much, had her first experience on the stage and never once seemed anxious or worried about what was coming (which is very unusual for her!) … as a neurodivergent kid she can sometimes feel on the outside but this was such a beautiful safe space for everyone.”

“My daughter told me she’d ’met her tribe’, she felt accepted and proud of performing. The teachers were so patient and kind, it was a fantastic experience.”
