We Finally Have a Place to Call Home!
For over two decades, Child Players ACT has operated out of community centres and stored our costumes and props in multiple garages. Despite having no permanent home, we have provided a positive environment where children can thrive! Now we have officially secured the lease on our very own commercial property! You can help us create a dedicated drama studio where your children can thrive, and where we can deliver more programs and help more children develop self-confidence, empathy and life skills through participation in theatre!
The Challenge: Turning an empty space into a positive environment
To open our doors and welcome our students, we need to completely refurbish the property to create a physical positive environment. Child Players is a registered Not-For-Profit charity, so every dollar raised goes towards this Fit-Out Fund and all donations over $2 are 100% tax-deductible!
Your contribution will directly fund three critical areas of our studio fit-out
The Transformation: New flooring and fresh interior painting, purple external panels and signage with our name on the door!
Fittings & Furnishings: Tables, chairs, kitchen appliances, and furniture for reception room and ‘low-sensory quiet room’.
Organisation: Storage units, shelving, and storage boxes to house our large collection of props and costumes.

Yes. Child Players ACT is a not-for-profit charity and every donation of the amount of $2 is tax-decuctible.

Your donation goes towards the refurbishment of our new drama studio, including carpet, painting, furniture and storage solutions to create dedicated rehearsal rooms, a ‘quiet room’, reception area and communal kitchen.

Yes please! We will be running working bees to paint the internal walls, assemble furniture and landscape the garden area. Please contact us a contact@childplayersact.net if you can volunteer your time to help.

Yes! If you can donate any items for the studio, including furniture, small couch, kitchen appliances or kitchenware that would be appreciated. Additionally, we will run a fundraising raffle, if you can donate something for our raffle that would be great! Contacts us at contact@childplayersact.net to let us know.
