Singing Workshops
Our Mission: To provide a positive and inclusive environment where young people are empowered, build self-confidence and develop essential life-skills through participation in the performing arts.
Small group Singing Workshops and NEW One-on-One Singing Sessions.
Places are limited! Only 18 places are available for Small Group Singing Workshops, and 8 places for One-on-One Singing Sessions. A waitlist will be available for those who miss out.
Small group Singing Workshops provided especially for Child Players participants, developed by DrGeorgia Pikeand supported by Dr Susan West on piano. Plus, due to popular demand, we will also be offering one-on-one Singing training.
These Singing Workshops are available for children aged 12 and up, who have previously participated in the Child Play Program, School Holiday Theatre Program and/or Musical Theatre Training Program.
All participants, regardless of experience, can increase their confidence and skill; learn to help and support each other’s singing, and most importantly, have FUN!
Small Group Singing Workshop Format
Singing Workshops involve a small group up to 6 participants for 6 x 60-minute sessions. Workshops involve both individual and group singing, focusing on confidence, vocal range, musicality, and addressing both individual and group singing skills.
One-on-One Training Format
Those who enroll in the Group Singing Workshops will have the opportunity to undertake an additional set of 3 x 30-minute individual sessions, which will be allocated either in weeks 1-3 or 4-6, Term 3, 2026.
Outreach and Community Singing
All participants will have the opportunity to attend Child Players ACT community singing and outreach events throughout the year, in order to put into practice what they have learned. Notifications of dates and times for these will be sent out when new opportunities arise.
