  • ACT Services Access Card

If you qualify for a concession, please contact us at contact@childplayersact.net with your children’s names, the program you would like to enrol in and a photo of your concession card attached. We will be in contact with details on how to enrol.

Volunteering for Discounted Fees

Community theatre always needs more volunteers! No matter what your skill set it, there is a way that you can help! Parent or guardian who can volunteer their time to assist with different Child Players activities can be eligible to receive discounted fees.

Some of our programs require a parent helper to help with production management and to help coordinate costumes, props, set building, set painting, or to help with photography and videography etc. If you are interested in joining the Child Players production team and assisting in any way, or helping with fund-raising, in exchange for discounted fees, please fill in a Volunteer Application here. Or you can contact us at contact@childplayersact.net to discuss the roles and options. Please note these Production Team roles and places are limited and discounts will vary depending on the specifics of the volunteer work involved.

Payment Plan

We have payment plans available for all of our term long or holiday programs. The standard payment requires a $100 deposit per child at the time of enrolment to secure your place. After you enrol and pay the deposit, you will be sent an invoice each fortnight for $100 per child ($50 per fortnight for concessions).

Please note: All fees must be fully paid before the commencement of the program. Therefore, the closer the program start date is, the payment plan is implemented, the higher the fortnightly repayment rate will be, to ensure that the fees are paid in full before the program commences. For example: if there are only 8 weeks until a holiday program begins then the fortnightly payments will be $200 per fortnight (per child).

If the standard payment plan is not suitable for you, you can enrol and secure your child’s place with a $100 deposit (per child) and then contact us at contact@childplayersact.net to discuss payment plan options. We are happy to work with your family and your personal situation.

Scholarship Fund

At Child Players ACT, we are committed to reducing the barriers to participation in the performing arts so that as many children as possible can gain the benefits of theatre participation. We are a registered not-for-profit charity with a tax-deductible status.

Starting in 2027 we will be raising money for a scholarship fund to help support children from low socio-economic families or families experiencing financial hardship.  We offer full or partial scholarships to some of our drama classes and theatre training programs with productions. Not all drama classes or theatre programs will be eligible for scholarships. Those that are eligible for scholarships will have information about scholarships under the pricing information on the webpage for that class or program.

Families who would like to apply for our scholarships need to submit an application form (see details below). All applications are reviewed by members of the Child Players’ board of directors. Unfortunately, the number of scholarships offered, and the percent of discount offered as part of the scholarship, is limited by the amount of money in our scholarship fund. Therefore , not everyone who applies for a scholarship will be successful. We will try to offer financial assistance to as many families as possible, which might include offering more half-price scholarships, rather than fewer full-price scholarships. The board’s decision will be final.

How to Apply for a Scholarship:

Families who would like to apply for a scholarship need to fill out an application form here.  Families should apply for the scholarship in advance, before enrolments open, to give the board time to review the application before enrolments open. The scholarship application form must be filled out and submitted before families enrol in the class or program.

Please email us contact@childplayersact.net if you have any questions.
