Child Players’ Vision

Child Players believes that EVERY child should be able to experience the benefits of participation in theatre. Theatre can build children’s self-confidence, allow them to find their voice, develop their empathy, reduce their screen time, expand their focus and attention spans, give them the opportunity to meet other like-minded people and work as a team to achieve a common goal, and most of all, have FUN!

The Barriers to Participation

Unfortunately, with the current cost of living, extra curriculum activities like drama classes can be too much for families from low socio-economic backgrounds or families experiencing financial hardship to afford. Children from these families should not miss out on the benefits of theatre just because they can’t afford the class fees.

How You Can Help Us Help Children

Child Players is committed to reducing the barriers to participation in the performing arts and is fundraising for our Scholarship Fund to help allow ALL children to benefit from participation in theatre. Child Players is a Not-For- Profit charity with a Deductable Gift Status, so every dollar donated is fully tax-deductable. and will go directly towards to subsidising the cost of drama class and theatre program fees to support all children.
